PR Beyond the Call of Duty

Perhaps one of the most challenging experiences I have dealt with was the negative consumer complaints received by My Child Magazine when the company felt into difficulties over its management of subscription refunds. it wasn't really my role as editor but given my background in PR I assisted the directors with their media responses, assisted parents with getting their subscription refunds quickly (parents began recommending me on forums) and turned down a lucrative role elsewhere in order to help the company rebuild the business. It was jolly tough work and required creating a lot of good morale!
