THE ENTREPRENEURIAL EDITOR
Good editors care about the balance of editorial and advertising content in the publications they manage. My concern has been no different as I recall many editorial meetings passionately protecting the ethical balance of content in the magazines I have edited. However, I also have an entrepreneurial approach to editorial production, developed as a graduate of the LCP's Masters in Publishing Programme, and years of experience working with new launches, small to medium enterprises, large organisations and publications produced by those in the private and public sectors. I have seen it all. My experience has given me an invaluable understanding of the challenges faced by new launches and companies that 'need' to work within stretched budgets, as well as those for whom this wasn't a such critical factor. As a result I am a highly resourceful publisher and editor skilled at viewing and approaching publishing projects from a commercial angle without losing sight of the ethical balance needing to be maintained on behalf of readers.
