| | New to online journalism? | | "Technology may have turned us all into producers and publishers but one thing it cannot replace is the need for good writing skills." |
| "Publishers are increasingly seeking editorial staff with the understanding and skill needed to write and create online content." |
_______________________________________________________________________________________ Editorial and Online Content Courses These workshops are aimed at those who want to develop or improve their journalistic writing skills or management of online content. Short, practical and memorable, they will give you useful tools and skills to use right away to write quality search engine friendly news, blogs and articles for your website, newsletters and other electronic media, to a professional standard. Research by Sanford University1 shows that after the aesthetic look of a website, visitors assess a site’s credibility and worthiness by the quality of its content. Content must be clear, relevant, devoid of grammatical and spelling errors - and web-friendly. Even if you are already an experience writer it makes sense to ensure you remain competitive in the jobs market by keeping your skills up to date. Research carried out by Wessenden Marketing and InPublishing2 shows that publishers are increasingly replacing their editorial workforce with those with online journalism experience. If you want to build a good relationship with your website visitors, compete for your online presence, or even remain competitive in the employment marketplace, then these workshops are designed just for you.
